One of the best things about hardwood floors is that they are so durable. Most floors can be refinished several times before having to be replaced. Sanding wood flooring not only gets rid of scratches and stains, but revitalizes the wood, bringing out its natural grain pattern. It's like getting a brand new floor every five to ten years at a fraction of the cost of a new floor. What carpeting manufacturer can promise that?
Sanding Wood Flooring
Sanding wood flooring is the first step in refinishing a hardwood floor. At Pat Pellegrini Flooring, we sand your floor three times, with coarse, medium and fine sand paper. This process removes any stains, scratches and other imperfections that happen over time and brings out the wood's natural grain.
After sanding wood flooring, we screen the wood three times to ensure that the finish and stain will adhere to it properly. Lastly, we apply the stain (if desired) or sealer and two coats of polyurethane.
